Privacy Policy
SnapFlow Recorder
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This policy explains how ISHIP DEV (“we”, “us”), Constantin Virnav 20/3 - 45, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, handles information when you use the SnapFlow Recorder Android app (the “App”) and this website. It is the privacy policy for the Google Play listing.
Short version: recordings are created on your phone. They stay on the device, or they go to the Google Drive or Dropbox account you connect. We do not run a cloud where your videos are stored for us to watch.
1. Who this covers
This policy covers people who install SnapFlow Recorder and people who visit this website. If you record someone else, you are the one who must tell them and get any permission the law requires. We do not have a relationship with the people who appear in your recordings.
2. Information the App uses on the device
To do the job of a screen recorder, the App processes the following on the phone, only when you use the related feature:
- Screen content. Video frames, screenshots, or GIF frames of what is on the display while a capture is running. This can include whatever apps you have open, so do not start a recording on a screen you do not want saved.
- Audio. In-app sound, microphone, or an external microphone, only if you select an audio option other than “None”.
- Camera image. The front camera, only if you turn the camera overlay on. It is drawn into the recording you create.
- Files you save. The video, image, or GIF files, plus ordinary file details such as time and size, in the folder on the device.
- Settings. Your choices for resolution, frame rate, bitrate, codec, GIF timing, screenshot interval, theme, floating button, and upload rules. These stay on the device.
- Notification control. If you turn on “Stop phone notifications”, Android’s Do Not Disturb access is used so other alerts do not cover the recording. The App is not reading the text of your notifications to send it to us.
The App does not ask you to create a SnapFlow account. It does not collect your contacts, SMS, call log, or location for our own database.
3. Google Drive and Dropbox
Backup is optional.
- If you connect Google Drive, Google’s sign-in screen can share your name, email address, and profile picture with the App so the connection can be completed. Recordings you choose to upload are sent to your Google Drive. Google’s privacy policy applies to that account.
- If you connect Dropbox, you sign in with Dropbox. Uploads go to your Dropbox app folder. Dropbox’s privacy policy applies to that account.
- You can leave both disconnected and keep captures local only.
- You can limit uploads to Wi-Fi, or allow Wi-Fi and mobile data. You can keep or delete the local file after a successful upload.
We do not receive those cloud files on ISHIP DEV servers as part of the backup.
4. Google Play
If you buy or install the App, Google Play processes the purchase and the install. Google may process account details, payment method, device information, and diagnostics under the Google Play terms and Google’s privacy policy. We receive the reporting Google Play Console gives to developers (for example, install counts and crash information if you have agreed to share it with Google). We do not receive your full card number.
5. This website
The site is static pages about the App. It does not use a cookie banner tracker, advertising cookies, or a website analytics product. Your browser may still store ordinary technical data in its own history. The download button links to Google Play. Email links open your mail app to write to us; we receive only what you choose to send.
6. Why we process information
- To record, save, and (if you ask) upload the captures you start.
- To remember settings on the device.
- To complete a Google or Dropbox connection you request.
- To reply if you email us about support, privacy, or a purchase.
- To meet legal duties, such as responding to a lawful request.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, the legal bases are: performance of the contract (providing the recorder you installed), legitimate interests (securing the product and answering email, balanced against your rights), and consent where a platform such as Android or Google asks you to grant a permission or connect an account. You can withdraw a device permission in Android settings, and you can disconnect Drive or Dropbox in the App.
7. Sharing
We share information only in these cases:
- With Google or Dropbox, when you connect that service and a capture is uploaded.
- With Google, for Play billing, distribution, and the developer reports described above.
- With a service provider who hosts this website, only as needed to serve the pages.
- If the law requires us to disclose information, or to protect our rights or someone else’s safety.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share recordings with advertisers.
8. How long information stays
- Recordings stay until you delete them on the device and, if you uploaded them, in Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Settings stay on the device until you change them, reset them, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling does not delete cloud copies.
- Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to handle the request and for a reasonable period afterward in case you write again, unless a longer period is required by law.
9. Security
Captures on the phone rely on Android’s file protections and on the lock screen you set. Uploads use the connection provided by Google Drive or Dropbox. No method of storage is perfect. Protect the Google or Dropbox account you connect, because anyone with that account can open the uploaded files.
10. Children
SnapFlow Recorder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The purchase is meant for an adult. A parent who lets a minor use a device should supervise recording. If you believe a child sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because recordings are on your device or in your cloud account, you can delete those files yourself. For information you emailed to us, contact the address below.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you may also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing. We do not use your recordings for automated decisions about you.
California residents can request access to or deletion of personal information a business holds, and can opt out of “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are used in the CCPA. We do not sell or share personal information as defined there. To make a request, email us. We will verify the request in a reasonable way.
12. International transfers
We are based in the Republic of Moldova. If you email us, that message is received there. Google and Dropbox may store data in the countries named in their own policies. Google Play distribution is operated by Google.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new text on this page. If a change materially affects how the App handles recordings, we will also describe it in the Google Play listing or in an update note when that is practical.
